I did an interesting cross between kits. I love my hi-lift, probably my favorite vehicle in all my collection. I wanted something slightly lower with a little more scale stance, so I swapped out to TLT axles.

I had already upgraded to a Junfac chassis, and was trying to keep the leaf springs, but getting them to line up with the TLT's was proving to be tricky, so i decided to 4-link it instead. I messed around in the shop and was contemplating building some custom aluminum parts when I spotted a left over Cliff Climber chassis from a previous build. Turns out it is a PERFECT fit on the stock holes, it lined right up and bolted on. Simplest mod ever, and should work on the stock chassis as well. Fabbed up a few links, put the servo on the chassis, swapped out an R2 tranny and now have a lower leaner hi-lift.

Have some more work to do, I have to paint all that pretty aluminum flat black (breaks my heart, but needs to be done,) the body is due for a re-paint as well and have some shock issues to sort out, but very happy with the result. Will post more pics as it progresses.

As it stands now...more to be done!

Cool thing is after these mods, I have a set of 350 axles, leafs, and a stock chassis and tranny for another build!

Very smart build :-)
However I only see the body and tires left from the highlift.....so you only loved the body ;-)

Lol, good point. It's not the mechanical bits, it's the essence....

I do have plans for the rest - going to a good cause.
