I don't like it at all. I would maybe use the cab on another chassis or something. And whats up with the bed? Maybe I just need to see more pics.

lets not hark on the details, at least some one finally gave us a 1/10 scale[ish] unimog body, on a good platform, for this tamiya should be commended,
so it dont have this and it dont have that, that is what is so great about this hobby, you take a bone stock vehicle and improve what you consider its flaws,
how many times have you been somewhere and seen a noob with a tamiya vehicle,and remembered when that was us. let us not bite that hand that feeds us.

Thats strange. Previously you could search for "unimog" on Tamiyausa.com and it would come up with the truck. Now its gone. I don't know if this is a mistake or a bad sign. Maybe they're updating the page and took it down in the mean time.

I seriously hope that it doesnt end up like the QD version they had out a couple of years ago with the working winch... IE not coming to the states...

Didn't Tamiya do that with the CR01 before it first came out? They listed some hopups on the site then took them down. Maybe they do that on purpose to gauge hype or get people (us) talking about it. Makes it kinda fun, people searcing the web and all the fourms for info and pics, any bit of info on the newest thing. They know what they're doing.

It's growing on me, although I liked it better in yellow. Are they still coming out with the special mustard color paint for it now that they changed the box art color to orange?

i am kinda with you B, but its not that i dont like it, i just dont understand it. i love the cro1 and the mog body, just like i like chocolate ice cream and swimming, just not together. most of the buzz has been about the body, and using it on the xc/cc chassis. i think the really could have come out with two killer trucks had they done a different body on this and stuck the mog on the cc or hilift chassis.

yay so soon, I'm so excited about this beauty. I actually almost bought a real surplus 68? Unimog Troop carrier I looked at awhile back, but the Tamiya version is better on fuel and easier to get spare parts :D

Don't hold your breath. Tower tells me they are having trouble with getting kits/parts from Tamiya. I'm sure someone else will have it sooner/cheaper.
