Welcome to what will be my first builder tread. The Project name is OVERCRAWLIN’ and yes this tread and build will have some influence from the television show Overhaulin’ on SPIKE TV. Because I tend to work alone I’m sorry to say this build will not have an Insider or Heist.:( With that said it should not be hard to figure out that the Build Team will only have one person and that person will be me.

My builds can sometimes take a very long time, so the five day build clock is also out the window. The build location will not be a secret either. The build will take place in my Shop AKA the garage.

It’s still just the beginning, but it’s time to check out the Mark for this project. It is one unsuspecting Tamiya CR-01 Chassis Toyota Land Cruiser 40.:Tamiya1: A gift from my wife!:D

Time to check in on the project rendering and transformations that are in store for this Kit. In Chip Foose style I plan to adjust the ride height and add some modified PRO-LINE Western Bumpers front & rear. I have incomplete ideas in my head at this point on how to adjust the ride height. I also don’t like the looks of the large coil springs. Looking for options that are more scale in appearance. Only time will tell. Open to input please. Other additions will include a 3 Racing Crawler Winch, A Custom built Cargo Rack and to top it all off the Indian Girl Canoe. The Canoe is a plank-on-frame model by Midwest Products and looks like it could be build all of its own.

Coming Soon!

The build begins with Custom Cargo Rack: construction, paint and extras.

Thanks for viewing.

Cool, Cool, Cool, Not only a new build, but a story, I love a good story, especially when its about an RC Crawler build.

Excellent backdrop, great storyline, and, what a wife. :first:

If I do some digging, I have pics of how I fastened my proline Western bumpers, not pretty but they work. Let me know when to dig them up..
