I've been in the process of building this 1980s Ford Bronco body for a Tamiya scale crawler as yet not decided which axles or chassis. Anyway i used an Old Blackfoot for front, Blackfoot Xtreme, for back, and a Parma lexan Bronco for roof along with lots of fiberglass and cutting I'm getting it close. Thought you guys might enjoy it

I was just back on the Tamiya3speed site after a few months and see all kinds of Bronco talk making me look a bit like a fool for building this thing thinking it was kinda original oh well :o

Thanks guys, I am stuck between a custom shortend (very short) High-lift axled truck or a short Tamiya cc-01 the wheelbase is only apx 8.5"

Can't wait till this one is done. If you are unsure on a chassis, won't you try a K2-3S. They are super cheap and short enough to fit your Bronco body and you can get it in black.

k2 with an axial trans should give you some good room and I'd try for TLT axles first, then highlift as a second choice

definately some good axle /chassis choices, I made a typo as it is 9.5" still short.

at 9.5 you could even tweak the CR01 to fit :mod:

The chassis decision is a tough one. I'm getting close though

Just "finished" the Bronco so I suspect pictures will follow soon in the CC/xc catergory. I like to take outdoor pictures so I'll drive to a suitable location for initial testing and clear shots so I can see what you guys think.
