View Full Version : Bruiser axled 4runner

Been working on this one for a while. I'm running modified bruiser axles. I made adapters to convert the front axle steering over to TLT components and use 12mm hexes for wheel mount. Narrowed the rear axle and threaded it to accept 12mm hexes and matched the width to the new front width,

Axles are mounted front and back via jugg leafs for now. Chassis has been modified and was from a kyosho 4runner as is the body. Looking to use an AX10 tranny.

Great conversion to the TLT parts! For some reason I really like the look of the bruiser axles!

This is a sweet set up. Not too cluttered, just nice gear.

Awesome work! I love that body, Tamiya should bring out a hard body 4runner on the CC chassis :)

If only Tamiya made trucks like this. The wheels tuck under the fenders perfectly. That's a lot to say for Bruiser axles. I love this truck!

Definitely cool. But part of what made the Kyosho 4Runner what it was, was it's scale suspension. Let's have a moment of silence for the original suspension... ok, moving on. Is that the original body or one of the RC4WD repro's?
