Got my Midgard Truscale, and have started the build.
Not quite sure if this is the setup I want, but it's getting there.

I really need more WB than this. (250mm)
R2 tranny is on it's way from RC4WD, but I don't know if it's going in this one or my HL yet.

Pete, the frame is coming along very nicely. What are the pros and cons of that chassis?
Wildtrail, that jeep looks great. The tall wheels remind me of the old army jeeps.

Sorry, didn't realize I wasn't being clear
Basicly what DaKillSwitch was saying.
What do you thing are the best parts and the worst parts of the chassis? What do you really like about it and what would you change?
I'm just looking for more information for myself and others that are thinking about getting that frame.
Pete359
07-18-2008, 03:01 AM
Now I'm with you.
There's nothing I would change on the chassi.
I found it very easy.

Got a link to the Midgard website?
Pete359

Midgard does not have there own webshop, but you can send "baremorten" on www.norcc.com (http://www.norcc.com) a pm with questions or orders.
He's the man that makes this nice chassis.
I will send him a pm myself, about how to ship to US.

Nice looking build there! It looks like you used a Traxxas transmission?
I have a Bandit that I was thinking about using for parts to build something else.
How's that working out for you? What did you use for driveshafts?
Pete359
09-03-2008, 05:30 AM
The Traxxas transmission works great!
Driveshaft is Traxxas 1951 and drive yokes 4628X.

Thanks, I'll have to look into getting one for a future project, being a Norwegian-American I really like to buy products made in Norway, usually because the quality is tops and the design asthetic appeals to be.

Sorry bout that Pete, but for this particular category trucks have to have Tamiya axles on them as the site belongs to Tamiyausa.
Pete359
10-05-2008, 11:57 AM
Sorry about that.
So is't better to let the readers think this chassis still got HL-axles?
Wyoming
10-05-2008, 12:49 PM
I'm just following Tamiya's rules. Because now it is really no longer considered a Tamiya crawler truck.

Then I will stop posting more of this build. ;)
