I have never owned or seen one run, but it sounds like a good peice. It is a plug-N-play system with all the features you want in a crawler combo.

Do you have to use a lipo battery with brushless setups or will a standard nimh pack still work?

The Volac and Transpeed set up looks like rebadged LRP. I was looking at that on tamiya.com. I haven't seen it for sale anywhere here.

You're :welcomeani: The LRP system is sensored and should have a good linear throttle curve, as well as precise low speed control. Sounds like a good combo to me.
