hello everyone,
does anyone know if i can use the traxxes 540 or 550 E-maxx motors on a TXT-1?

Yes sir, they will bolt right in. Of course you will need an EVX speedo to handle the amp draw.

I've went to do this same thing but found the output shaft on the motors to be too long for a straight bolt-in. It's just a matter of cutting them down so they don't touch the rear of the trans case - something else I have sitting in the to-do basket :o

Oh and you'll probably want to upgrade your prop shafts for the extra power :D

Man, I have a room full of projects yet to be completed. :D

As for the Titans, bolt pattern is the same as any other 540 or 550 RC engine. I forgot about the extra length on the arm though. :oops: Have dremel, will cut. :p I run trinity butt-syncs in-between the motor and trans. With them installed they may bolt in without any cutting.

Thank you for your help, I can finish my txt now. I did upgrade the propeller shafts, I can’t remember which shaft are they but I took them from an E-MAXX and they work great.
