This is one of 2 YJ bodies that I have stored away. Just another build I have wanted to do. I've been tinkering with it for a month. Its my typical chassis with

TLT axles, with BB\ and rear axle has rc4wd axle straightner's
RC4WD something something tranny and the matching T-case
RC4WD 80 mm shocks
RC4WD softer black leaf's
Heinz 57 driveshafts. :D
wheels are @xi@l 1.9's
RC4WD 1.9 Tomahawks

Can't wait to see where you take this build, I enjoy looking at your current and past projects, in the short time I have been with this forum you have already given me a ton of ideas. I just wish I had the "junkyards" worth of extra parts on hand [ you probably of years in collecting all your parts and pieces]. Looking forward to following this on.

Thank you IceChilly. I thought I would try out RC4WDs planetary tranny and T-case, and see how they work out. As for building they work great, but the big test is driving it.

Thank you That guy. Im not sure wher I'm headed on this build, I know I want a winch on it, but as for the rest, not sure yet, just kinda going with the flow.

Actually I went nuts the last 2 years and ran up 2 credit cards (they are now paid off). But you do end up with a lot of stuff left over. I have to slow down now, I will be buying stuff for my 1:1 JK Jeep. :)

Thank you Andrew. I'm gonna try to do a cage, or something like it :D

Really not much to show, just my messy work. It still needs a lot of refinement, but its amazing what you can do with a dremel and paint :D

The dashboard, Im sure won't be a perfect match, but thats ok, you really can't see the stuff inside when your driving it, or I should say, you better be paying atttention to the trail in front of you, so you don't go over the edge somewhere. :) Anyway, sorry for babbling..its not very pretty lookin.

I did make a driveshaft between the tranny an T-case, I just cut a leftover traxxas slider shaft. Drilled both ends to match holes on the shafts of the 2, and "Thank You Tamiya" for including extra parts, I used leftover pins, for locking hi-lift diffs, to lock the shaft in place.

I haven't worked on this too much lately, I did throw some primer on it, to give it a little more life. I think its gonna be a dark Blue in color when I get to that point. (maybe) with a bikini top or something like that.

The battery box is below the rear of the body between the rails, and the electronics will sit under the hood close to the back of the dash.

Thanks Moondoggie, long time ,no see. Its great to hear from ya.

lookin sweet like the seats

Thanks Psyco, I'm thinking about trying to cover them, I have some left over, really thin soft foam from my flying days, and that will make great cushioned seats.

Thank you Jamie. At first I was gonna do a gray interior, but I'm liking the black. I want to cover the seats and get the guages in the dash yet. I haven't figured out what to use for the guages, just yet.

And I plan on a spare tire, I just haven't made a choice on bumpers or a comdo yet.

Looks great, I like that color. What is it?

Thank you, I will have to look at the exact color of blue tonight, to tell you which shade of blue, but I used some rustoleum flat black as a base and blue to top it off. My GF's idea.

Thank you Northwest, I know, its hard to find them scale enough, and when I think they are, they still need lots of stomach and leg surgery, and then they get grumpy and won't drive or they crash into things or just roll over :D

:) Thank you. Well, the Jeep is on hold for a bit, I tried to work on it a week ago and just wasn't where my head was at, its stuck on the van. I will get back on it eventally, and actually, its really close to being done, it just needs its highlights and the radio put in.
