On Tamiya's site they list the TLU-01 coming with a set of white and a set of red lights. But a lot of the on line hobby shops list them as having two sets of white. Can anyone confirm?
Also, they come with 5mm lights. I'm thinking of putting a light bar on & adding some more LEDs. Would the 3mm work better in a light bar?
I plan to paint my tail lights w clear red & use red lights.
Appreciate any opinions.

The basic LED unit comes with 2 white 5mm front lights and two red 5mm rear lights. As for a light bar depends on the light bar, Tamiya High-lft bars take 5mm lights while the RPM light bars use 3mm

Wyoming is correct.
The one included with the Wrangler has 2 White 5mm and 2 Red 5mm LED's.

The High-Lift light bar accepts 5mm LED's.

The turn signals and tail lights are 3mm on the High-Lifts I do believe. I have never used the RPM stuff.

I do not think the 3mm LED's are as bright as the 5mm ones. The color may also be a factor in what size to run where. The LED's, in the light bar on my F-350, are 5mm yellow and they are super bright. I seem to remember the MFC used 3mm White LED's for the roll bar and you have to use an o-ring to adapt the 3mm LED to a 5mm bucket.
If you want, you can....

Thanks for all the advice, I'm looking at a pro line light bar. not sure yet though. I have a Hilux kit & I think I'm going to put a MFC in it but thought I would try lighting up my CR-01 first & see how it goes. I've painted 3 bodies for my land cruiser now & I have one dedicated to hard play so I'm not real worried about durabilty, more going for a scale look.

I used 3mm LED when I had my PL light bar, although you could use 5mm as the light buckets are undrilled so you have to make your own holes for LEDs. It turned out to be a good decision to use 3mm because when I switched to the RPM bar they fit right in.
Also, my 3mm lights in the bar appear to be the same intensity as the 5mm in the headlights.

That's what I was thinking. 5mm for headlights/tail lights & 3mm on the light bar.
