I started this before I finished the Van.

My friend here in town (Josh) has a 99 F-250 Super Duty with a diesel, (as a side note, he also has a 64 Impala Lowrider, Candy green with a Pearl white top)

He has a small 1:1 4 X 8 trailer that I need for my Jeep, soooooo.... I'm going to try and build him a Super Duty to match using the f-350 body, axles,, not sure of a trannsmission yet.

Here is what I have so far

The wheels are from RC4WD, they are plastic and 2.2, I have completely stripped the beadlocks of anodizing and repainted the wheels silver, the chassis will be my normal cheapy chassis. The tires are the Yokohama Geolanders, and I'm workingh on the Highlift axles tonite. (I hope)

Its been a slow start so far, I'm still wore out from the Van :)

I think the words for your frame is "simple" or "clean" as opposed to cheapy... Great looking start- I am sure it will be another great build. Congrats on the marriage!

Thank you Jamie, and you are right about that dog, she really dislikes them and goes and hides, but the other one wants to eat them, so I have to be watchful of that one, or he'll destroy a body when I'm testing in the backyard.

I'm good for something, once in awhile. lol You better get one picked up, I keep thinking they're going to end production on them (for awhile )

Thats a nice start!

Thank you, its been a slow start, thats for sure.

looks like RC4WD prowler tires may be a good fit for scale representation.

Thanks for the info Mike, but josh really likes whats on here, and I believe he is selling the 1:1 version anyway, so its a moot point now , but he still wants this one (really bad)

Its gone through a few changes. So, here goes

Used the bed hinges from the new F350 I ust picked up

Dropped bed

Thanks Budha, I figured it would be faster than the Van build, but I'm still not completely done. Its gotten so rainy and humid around here that I had to repaint it. I just have a couple of mechanical things to figure out.

Anyway Josh stopped by last night, he says he is selling the 1:1 version today. So he wanted a pic or 2 of them together. It looked really big on my bench but on the tire, it looks so tiny.

Thank you Moondoggie. I can finally call it done. Josh came by and picked it up last night. Last I saw he was sending pics to all of his friends from his phone and taking it somewhere to show somewbody.

I ran 1 batt. pack through it to test it out. I had one setscrew loosen up on me, but other then that it was all good.

@ Mike, (flowmaster) Josh is like that, since I've gotten to know him in these last 2 years, he has owned 4 or 5, maybe more vehicles, I've seen him in a 90's camo'ed Yota, 93 Chevy 4X4 Ext. Cab, 72 Lowered, chopped ,Big Block Chevy ShortBeb, 99 F-250 Super Duty, 63 low rider \ hydraulics, 06 Nissan Titan, a mid 80's Cutlass (I think) He hardly tries to sell anything, but its always for sale for the right price, lol

the Bunny is "wild" and lonely :D

@ Thatguy, Thank you for those kind words. I spend a lot of time in the garage or basement, depending on time of year. Julie either just sits back and watches or talks or just leaves me be, its great. Now, if only (early) retirement would hurry up an get here.

@ Northwest, I've thought about it, but it would have to be for a really good reason, I don't want to get burnt out completely.

And now for some new pics...Also, changed the wheels n tires to 1.9's

:confused: Honestly... do you have a hard time keeping all your builds going at the same time? I have a hard time working 1 problem at a time, I can't figure out how you can build all these top notch rigs, and update all of them regularly. Do you have some sort of super powers or do you own stock in Folgers or Red Bull?? just kidding. Nice ride, did your buddy like it, it looks just like his old truck!
