First off, welcome to the site.

The truck looks great! Are you going to run it with the Hilux body or the BB body? Going to restore the BB body any more?

G'day McFig,

Thanks for the welcome.
I plan to run it more with the BB body, but I want to get the chassis setup right before I move on to restoring the BB body.

The body restore is going to take some time, as it has a lot of damage and missing parts due to some wild and crazy driving 25 years ago, when I was a kid with no idea.

If anyone knows where I can get repro parts for the BB body, I would appreciate it. The main parts I need are the front grille and wing roof.

Don has some stuff over on scale4x4rc.org, but no grille or wing. http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=95

Ebay maybe?

If I can't get the parts from ebay, then I might have to get creative with some styrene sheets.

nchan: I was reading on your google picture page about how Tamiya says to put the longest leaf on top of the spring pack. I don't understand why they have you do that either, even stranger is they have you zip-tie the leaves together after you've stacked them all! Why not just assemble them like an actual leaf spring pack, then you don't need to zip-tie. Oh well, we may never know.
