Thanks for the replies,I got the idea yesterday and had it running last night,I still need to work out some body mounts and possibly try to do something with the cantilevers, maybe try a different motor as well,I have two a123racing cells mounted in the bottom to help with it being kinda top heavy and am trying to lighten everything up as I can.It is a heavy beast!I will try to post pics as I go.

Powerful looking set up. Just wondering how all that torque goes through such a lot of plastic. We have seen the twisted drive shafts from other members. Any news so far? Cheers, Tony

Right now I am running one stampede drive shaft with steel yokes and one stock one,I have not broken anything yet,but I have ordered another stampede setup. Also,I am runnning only 6.6 volts with the lithium ion pack so that may be helping as well.

Great Idea!! How much modification was required to install the 3 speed?

That really had to pack on some pounds
You probably HAVE to weight your wheels now as the CG went higher :)

It was pretty much a simple conversion, the tranny fit almost like it was supposed to go in the chassis,a couple of spacers and a servo mount for the shifting was all it took!.The weight difference isn't that bad,the motor being on top is bad,so I was thinking maybe a small brushless would help solve that problem,I am actually running more weight in the rear wheels than the front to help balance the front/rear weight bias as the tranny is quite a bit front heavy it would want to flip forward while descending. The heavier weight in the rear helped alot.

Hey guys I am back, been busy with remodeling my house,(and playing with my e-slayer)I like having the 3 speed way more than the stock tranny,it crawls well and is fun to play with in third gear,it is always nice to have choices!Hopefully I can get some pics up soon,I painted the body and installed some lights, should be getting some more details done as time allows.
