well i started out pretty stock, and i enjoyed it alot. I kinda felt like i was driving clodbuster jr. Then some pretty radical changes, novak crawling system w/ 55t motor , 1.9 wheels and tires and eventually an upgrade to a 25tooth gear. completely different than where it started. I really do enjoy it more this way too. but will all my models this will keep evolving im sure.

That pic in the water is sick. I think I need a CR01 now.

Hi Guys!!! Was thinking you might be in here somewhere :)
ooh, I do really like that water pic!
How sealed is the planetary gearbox, I have always been too scared to run anything in water, would be fun in the CR-01 I think...

for water crossings you might want to look into the waterproof traxxas xl5 esc they put in the slash

I used to worry about water getting into things but if its well lubed and you drive alot it doesn't seem to matter, course when C takes apart the Tan High-lift he got from me he might find out what effects water have on 3speed trannies. I have found fine silty dust to be the worst as it gets into everything. Also the new LRP can be had as a fully waterproof ESC and can operate fully submerged for apx $50, I just stuck one in my Trailfinder in anticipation of some very wet drives to come

Nice detail on the paint, how's the axle clearance with the 1.9 tires?

i definately lost a little clearance, but i was willing to trade off for the overall look of it. i also gained alot of control in tight spaces.

What ESC/motor combo are you running? Silver can? Will it benefit with a 55 turn crawler motor do you think?

This is the waterproof ESC I use. I also put my electronics in a Radio Shack project box and waterproof it with silicone. The ESC works great and is pretty cheap.
