I got a message from Thorsteenster yesterday asking if I was interested in some old 3-speed stuff he had in his closet. I went over to his house today to check it out. I left with a lot of really cool things and almost enough parts to build a running truck with.

Here's a list of the items in the box I bought:

Hilux chassis with shackles
Front and rear Hilux axles-disassembled
Like new front and rear bumpers
1 set of Blazing Blazer wheels and tires, fair condition (one has a white wall)
1 set of Hilux wheels and tires( one is dry rotted, but I have a spare)
1 new Hilux transmission, never even had oil in it
1 set of U-bolts and two sets of plates
U-bolts, plates, leaf springs, and driveshafts for a Hilux or BB
Bruiser Transmission, lots of wear, might drop some engine oil in it
Bruiser rear axle, gears click
new Bruiser axle collars
ball bearings for the Hilux axles
push rods for the Hilux or BB
Bruiser motor mounts, chassis crossmember, rear body mount
Bruiser shocks and towers
Bruiser steering assembly
Bruiser springs and aluminum lower shock mounts, as well as the plastic ones
All the hardware
lots of Hilux/BB repro hubs

Ok, now if you'd kindly box it up and send it to me!

Or just PM me if you want to part with the Hilux front bumper...

I know, I've seen those. I just can't justify spending $25 for 50 cents of rubber.

I assembled almost everything I could. I can't believe how mint this thing is. It's museum quality! Everything is just about perfect on it; the driveshafts have never been run, the transmission and motor have never been run, the plating on the front and rear bumpers have zero blemishes, and the tire lugs are crisp. The axles might not be original to the truck since you can see the bearing marks and the cases are a little scuffed from rough cleaning techniques. Everything else looks like it was removed from the box and put into storage. So far, it's only missing one hub, the radio box, and the body. I made the front motor/body mount and motor boot since those were missing as well.

The one on the right is made from steel.

Well, after doubling my investment, I managed to get everything but another body and a radio box crossmember. I'm gonna have to get some pics of the parts box I have; it's overflowing!

My unrestored runner is pictured on the left for comparison.
