Does any one know if the ideas and suggestions we make on this site make it up to the people who make the decisions?

Does anyone know how we can make suggestions and give our ideas directly to the decision makers at tamiya japan?

I see alot of people have really good ideas on this and other sites and just want to make sure they are getting to the people that can do something about it.

Any info will help

nice B, but we may have better luck if we try a more diplomatic approach first, and if that doesnt work, then we go with your plan. :Tamiya1:

I met the owner of Venom Racing a few years back, in conversation I asked him about how the company responds to market demand for new products. He explained to me that a lot of his marketing & sales managers spent a lot of their time on forums exactly like these and took a lot of notes regarding what the buzz was among customers.

So, if there are any Tamiya employees (particularly marketing) browsing this site, which being a Tamiya sponsored site I am guessing there are, feel free to make yourself known :D

I also like plan 'B' but let's make the demands at the end of the factory tour ;)

Tamiya Does not sponsor this site. It is owned by Tamiya America, Inc.

We are listening and taking notes :omg:

ok lets see more manuals, exploded diagrams, more parts lists on line

lets make motor mount slots be big enough to stick a 6 tooth pinion all the way to a 20 tooth pinion on a 550 motor on all vehicles

lets go back to the days of old and have body kits for chassis. lets say like a Blackfoot re pop that will fit the Cr-01 or a midnight pumpkin that would fit on a high lift chassis

i was going to say axle kits but that is already in the works

making me a product tester , would benefit me the most, i have a bunch of different areas to test , and with my older brother around we can see just how bullet proof something is.

if a vehicle is made make it available everywhere, not just in the Asia market or the America market

tamiya as a whole is keeping up with trends in the market , slight bit of improvement there but your close!

as far as vehicles goes , updated version of the clod , like a son of clodbuster
definitely a updated rough rider, and blazen blazer. bring back some of the old names with vehicles that DESERVE to carry that name

I got one... Hilux, Bruiser, Blazing Blazer re-release body sets. They can fit directly onto the hilift chassis right? Put some light buckets in 'em and Tamiya can sell more light units too. Matter of fact, Tamiya, put light buckets in everything.

Hi all from Italy!
Sorry for first posting in this old 3d but I really hope for a CC chassis whit both solid axles.

I personally would love to see a licensed Tamiya version of the Warthog from the Halo series of video games. It looks great and is so much fun to drive in the game, an RC version would be awesome... however, it would be an engineering nightmare as it uses independent leading / trailing arms for each wheel and has 4 wheel steering! (would still be fun, though)

didnt some one say that there is going to be a release of the cr-01 axles? im wanting to use them on a 3 speed all around truck project, and i could have sworn they were suposed to be released in the next few months

I will second the idea of a re-release of the rough rider/ sand scorcher..
I know that Tamiya did the buggy champ in the tamtech line but a 1/10th version of a scale buggy would be AWSOME... With alot of manufacturers heading into the scale or semi scale market why has no one done up a really nice buggy???
What with the traxxas Slash and how it has taken the beginner market for off road racing by storm, I would love to see a bug, or buggy that has the same sort of semi scale looks to race!!!!
The Grasshpper and Hornet are nice, but Imaging if the WILD ONE was repopped...
Reengineer a SCALE buggy for us PLEASE!!!!!

with all the technology out there i think it would be kinda foolish to re-release their old models, no matter how much i would really want them, and believe me i do.

i think they can make a better and more scale srb and 3-speed chassis. they made those in the late 70s for pete's sake and they were amazing for thier time and still blow most scale chassis out of the water. but i really think after 30 years they can design some new super scale metal chassis.

and where is the xc/cco2??? been waiting for that for fifeen+ years.

If they do re-release an SRB, it will wind up having way too much plastic on it. As for the 3-speed, we asked for a Bruiser, not what they did give us. We need more metal and I don't care about play value either.

Not crawler specific stuff here, but here goes:

Include window masks with bodies. Some bodies (Mini Cooper, Suzuki Swift, Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia, etc) do not come with window masks. Instead, they come with window decals. They don't look good at all and ruin the look.

Some bodies like the Supra and RX-7 come with window masks and smoked transparent window decals... this is the way it should be :thumb:

Light buckets on all bodies! I see light buckets on the Aristo/Lexus GS and Nissan Skyline GTR32 reissues... good job! :thumb: But why not on the new Fiat 500 (which by the way is also sporting those ugly window decals)

Longer parts production and support. Some kits are still in production (Tamiya Ford F-150 Race Truck, M1025 Humvee), but a lot of their parts are already discontinued. Doesn't make sense to me.
