Seeing as there is Blitzer re-release mania, thought I'd post up some pics of my recent aquisition. The Blitzer family had a little known sibling sold by Futaba - the FXT. It was based off the Blitzer platform and made by Tamiya, though sold as a Futaba kit much like the FX10 was a modded Striker/Sonic Fighter (Have one of them too - FX10 was my first kit ever!)

Anyhow, let there be pics. The FXT shares the Blitzer suspension, though little else. Ball diff, aluminum tub chassis and carbon shock towers being the main differences.

As I got it...Body is rough, but very salvageable. Lineage is very obvious...

Chassis compared to my restored Bearhawk:

Stripped and completely rebuilt. Truck was in amazing shape overall.

Gearbox has 48p gears and a ball diff. Drop in for any Blitzer chassis i think, dimentions seem the same.

Kit was built with the parts twisted off the sprue...i HATE that! Shocks were notchy, sharp edges were everywhere....cleaned all the parts, trimmed them down and added bearings - all is smooth as silk!

Much cleaner....with the exception of a faded spot in the chassis, it could pass for new.

Finished and ready for the body.

Made no changes at all the the set-up except for the bearings. Pretty cool truck, not sure what I'm going to do with it at this point. Sitting on the shelf until I decide what to do.

....and just noticed looking at the pics that I missed 2 screws in the front bulkhead. :) I had 2 left over and had no idea where they went!! How did I miss that??

oh yeah I remember the FX10 but had forgotten about the truck version, very cool. Great to see one again.
