generally yes, on lexan you paint the inside with poly carb paint. now that is the general rule.many people stray from this though.

Yup, wash the body with hot soapy water, rinse and let dry. Then apply masking on the inside to windows, roof etc. Paint the darkest color first. be sure to remove outer film after painting but before doing the decals. Now some of us do paint on the outside of lexan bodies (this is not as durable but gives a realistic matte look for details etc.) If you paint on outside you can use that clear film as masking just cut and remove film in areas you wish to paint with an X-acto type knife and spray as you would inside. then when you peel away the film it leaves beautiful clean masking lines. Painting bodies isn't really hard but takes practice. One tip is to use the extra lexan pieces you get when cutting out the body to practice on first. and of course be sure to use polycarbonate safe spray paint like the Tamiya PS line which is really the best paint around.

if you want to save some bucks, and want to change the looks of the stock wheels, just paint them. of course the alloys will last longer, but the ones that come with the kit are pretty good.
