Hi,C
do you mean the Novak Rooster Crawler/55T Motor Combo ?
i've posted the same question on scale4x4, but no one seems to be able
to really give me a good hands on feedback on the Goat esc/motor combo,i thought that it's the Novak best combo for crawlers, and that the Novak products are good and reliable.

I have used the Goat system in my CR01 for 3-4 hours of use now with no problems, it has great drag brakes, and it is very smooth and efficient on just simple Nicd packs. I really love it... but it was very expensive so I would highly recomend it if you have the bucks but the Rooster crawler as 7point2 says is a great system for half as much. I just bought the rooster system myself for an upcoming truck but have not run it yet. Also some of the Tekin systems are worth checking on but I have not had much experience with Tekin myself.

yes, sorry should have been more descriptive. i run with six cell nicads and a 25th pinion. am really happy with it. it is very smooth and responsive and you really run on just a touch of throttle.i dont get bogged down with a lack of power either.
i really hope that they will figure out that you can put a gyro so the brakes will only work on inclines. some one should pay me for that idea, if its not already out there.

I have the Goat in my CR01 with a 6 cell nimh 3000mah or 4500 lipo and run a 18 tooth pinion. On the lipo it can really move out, I was surprised how fast. Strock 20 tooth pinion it would be insanly fast.
The Goat system at slow speeds is controllable like nothing else I've tried. Throttle control is surprisingly easy. Then if you need wheelspeed, man you have it.
Very impressed, a bit of money but after you drive it you'll say it is well worth it.

Thanks C, and Wyo, for the info,i do have the Novak 55t motor in the HL jeep and with a M.tronics esc that combo works great,so i know the motor is good, most of my friends run the rooster/55t combo in there CR's so i have seen it in action and know what it can do. C if your idea will be out and running i'll be the first to buy it :thumb: :D
Wyo,it'll be some time befor i'll buy that combo(i need/want it for a future project)i'm just window shopping kind of...for now, so i'll have the info when the time will come to get a motor/esc combo, i'll know what is good for me and buy it,and my future project is a long time fantasy of mine....so i will put the best stuff in the project.
