sharp looking chassis, that has to be the craziest paint job I've seen, very graffiti feeling.

Cool paint job. Looks very complex for a simple procedure. Are those aluminum drive shafts? If so, they may wear out rather quickly.

Thanks for the comments guys.
The blue centre section are aluminium and the Universal joints are steel, I am not particularly worried about them wearing out quickly they are better than the original plastic ones in the fact that they will not twist, because after 4 runs with the plastic shafts they had both started to twist.
I had a mad moment when I painted it, I painted the roof black with a brush and the sort of dry brushed the rest of the body with the black and when that had dried I spray painted it red

got the defender body yesterday
a couple of shots of the body being centred prior to painting I have use a spot of black paint on the outside to mark where the front body posts go, I am going to drill out the holes re mount the rear body mounts turn the body round and the mark where the rear post holes are and then paint it

thanks, it is the HPI body and I can't make my mind up as to what colour to paint it so I just might follow the scheme that HPI used in their brochure.

That body does fit perfectly and look good. Now we need to get Tamiya to do a Land Rover body, I can only imagine how cool that would look...sorry i got off topic. Green is a great color for it. Look forward to seeing what it looks like.

I agree with you on trying to get Tamiya to do a landie version of the CR-01

I am waiting for the rattle can to paint it racing green and also decided to run it with the front diff locked and the rear diff unlocked.

Locked or unlocked the turn or no turn LOL i locked mine on the both my rigs and will on the new tundra. The CR-01 Dosn't seem to turn that well locked up front though.

It does not turn that well with both diffs locked. I am just running with the front locked over a smallish course that I have laid out and just seeing how it runs and turns but I may end up locking the rear diff as well
