Here is what I have so far. Axles are on the way from RCP, shocks from TCS, and I have to get rod for the links.

The frame fits the body perfectly.

Things open, allowing possibilities.

And finally, the killer stock flex.

Looks like it's going to be a cool project. Has some nice chassis components as well.

Thank you. The chassis is from The Scale Shop, from RCC. :)

Got my TLT axles today. Mocked it up while I get my links and shocks.

Got my 70mm Yeah Racing shocks today. They look really nice, but even with the softest springs, I have to push the truck so it flexes. Maybe it needs weight, but just wondering. Also just need to mount the body on the back, and bring in the rear axle a bit. But it is a roller now.

very nice looking rig, has a nice look to it, feels stock but with aggressive tires, just the way I like my off road trucks:D

It does have a nice stance to it. It would look great in some sand/dirt racing pics. What kind of motor are you going to use? Fast, slow, or somewhere in between? Looking good.

Thanks man! I like trucks like this also. Huge lifts aren't needed. :)

Thank you. I will use a fast 23T motor since it is mostly a Dakar truck, and of course, will run it in the sand.

Thanks man. :o
That is coming along nicely! I like it! :D
The only thing, I might do differently, is mount the suspension links on the inside of the frame rails.

I would, but it would throw everything off. The rods would rub against the chassis, etc. This works for now. :)

Finally the video is up. By the way, it was in 2WD the whole time, since I don't have my servo yet for the DIG. I got stuck so many times, damn you 2WD. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v319/tankexmortis/Smileys/th_Silly_avatar_by_Dicx.gif

Cool. Looks like it does pretty well in 2wd. It might be a good idea to lower your gear ratio since it is a Dakar truck. It seems a little slow for a 23 turn motor. My crawler does approximately the same speed with a 35 turn. I was also watching some of your other videos. I like the white Pajero too.

Thanks man, the Pajero was cool, but sold. Same for the Jeep.
As for the speed, I think it is too slow also, and should be way faster. It has a 25T pinion in the R2DII. Maybe I need a 19T Team Orion?

Or a different pinion. A 19 tooth perhaps? Can you change the gear ratio in the R2DII? If not, go ahead and try a 19 turn or even a 15 turn if the 19 is still too slow for you.

When you want speed, don't you need to increase the pinion size? The 25Tooth pinion is what I have on it. I think my LRP ESC can only handle down to 17T so I might get a 19T or 17T motor. :)

 I was thinking backwards. A 25 tooth is a good pinion size. What is the tooth count on the spur then? The R2 transmissions are crawler specific I believe. If it has to come to it, buy the 19 turn motor and see if that helps. A battery with higher voltage will make a big difference as well; 8.4 volts will greatly increase speed. You could probably try that first, You can get some custom battery packs made for less than $50.00 at cheapbatterypacks.com.

Thanks man, I'll try to get some money, so then I can decide what to do. :)

Saw the truck for sale over on RCCrawler. It's too bad you lost interest in it. It would probably have been a pretty cool truck, like a cross between a Slash and a scaler.

Yea, well, I just don't have the money to make it what I want it to be.
