What is the best way to improve articulation of suspension. I have seen some pics on here if rig with the shok and cantilever removed. Also, does anyone know what weight the oil in the shock are. I was thinking og going down to 10 or 20 and putting inthe 3 hole disc. Any suggestion???

I am also looking for some military stle 1.9 wheels and tires.

Well I don't have a CR-01.......

I believe the removing of the shocks and cantilevers was done for looks more the performance. I would think the stock setup will give you the most articulation.

Oil? well, what oil did you put in it when you built it? I'm sure its Tamiya's soft.

1.9's on a CR-01?

stock setup sucks. i have removed the stabiliser bars, changed to soft springs and moved the setup about abit and got heaps more flex compared to stock:D.

I have had some 1.9" tyres on my CR-01 not long ago, they look a bit funny on it but they do work.

i will post some pics soon showing my setup for you.

Really comes down to what kind of rocks you drive on, with how/where I drive I'm very happy with my stock suspension and articulation so I can't really help you there, but RC4wd makes some nice military 1.9 Beadlock wheels or for the best value you can use Tamiya Hummer wheels which look great are very strong and have a nice scale look.

did you take out the stabilizers to get that articulation?

If you take out the stabilizers, you will have a heck of a lot of torque twist. And remember, too much articulation is not good. ;)

I myself am happy with the cantilever setup. Running barrel springs with medium in front and soft in the rear, soft stabilizer (black) in the front and medium stabilizer in the rear. Definitely better articulation over the stock setup.

I liked the cantilever setup at first because it was "neat" and a little different. However, after awhile I dfound it to be very wobbly and it did'nt flex as good as it could. I took that setup off , drilled a couple of new holes and mounted T-Maxx shocks on my CR01, it flexed more (but not too much) and worked more realisticly for me.

i put the front stabilizers in the rear and left no stabilizers in the front and that worked better
