So what dose a BEC do for ya?
Hook it up or leave it disconnected?

Arcocustom commented on another post bout a ESC
" not powerful enough for two servos" should use a CC BEC from Castle!

On the description of this it says to elnimate need of battery pack for servo and Rx.

Now on a used Hilux i bought, it was chopped off! no chance to use it!
PLUS NO BATTERY pack for servos or RX
And on two trucks i built after that just left it un hooked
none have a battery pack other then the main.

So WHAT GOOD IS THIS FOR? LIPO batterys are the only thing i can think of with its power cut when current gets low??

thanks for the info and hope it helps out others with the confussion

Not too sure of your question but... BEC is Battery Elimintor Circutry. Back in the day you used to have to use batteries to power your receiver. BEC came out and eliminated the need for a receiver pack so the receiver draws it's power from the main battery pack. Gas RC's still need receiver packs since they dont use battery packs for power.

All electronic speed controls (ESC) have a battery eliminator circut (BEC) built into them. Some BEC's are not powerful enough. A Casttle Creations BEC (#CC BEC) gets power from your main 7.2 battery, bypassing the BEC on the ESC. This takes stress (heat) off of the speedo and will allow you to run as powerful a servo or as many you want.
