I have a stock Tundra and I wanted to put on some 2.2 wheels and tires. How do people recommend modifying the chassis to eliminate the tire rub/interference. I looked at the build on tamyiausa, but was wondering if there were any other options. :thumb:

Since I did the build you are talking about that is my 1st choice. But you could do a 4link and you would be good.

I used this on mine: Shackle Kit (http://www.shop.rpphobby.com/product.sc?categoryId=-1&productId=901). Using this you still have to either mod the the side step bar or remove it all together. If you look at this link showing my build...I originally built it with 2.2s but went to 1.9s for more of a scale look. Toyota Avulsion (http://www.tamiyacrawlers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=422)
Love to see some pics of your build too!

1. Body lift - get some spacers, lift it about 4-5mm or quarter inch
2. Spacer bumper out with 3-4 rubber O-rings, and mount on upper hole on mount plate.
(this will give clearance here and make for a no gap between body and bumper.)
Check out my build posts
3. shackle 10mm lift kit(from junfac.com) or four link from them also :)
(if running Leaf springs and shackle kit- u also make some 3-4 mm lift blocks for axles)
4. Sanding the Fender Wells. i sanded the back corners off the rear set and bout to nib the fronts here soon! see here in this post reply number #42http://www.tamiyacrawlers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=381&page=5
Hope that Helps ya :) Any other Q's just ask :)
