Yes, I agree with the young man. 1.9's fit this body very well.
Let me add the bodywork on the grill and the roof is superb and the front bumper looks made for that vehicle.:D

Thank you Arco, that means a lot, because there are some really good lookin vehicles on here.
I took a few pics last nite so the lights would show up. I got a little carried away, its so ez with Tamiya's TLU-01 light unit.

Cool. Night Wheelin. Out in the wilderness you need all that candlepower. They don't run electric out in the boonies.

I actually could have put one more set in the bumper, but was afraid of a trail fire. :D

Very nice looking Jeep, goes to show theres no reason to buy the kit to get just the body because the CR-01 has all the right major components to build cool Jeeps.

Thank you Wyoming, It was yours (birthday present) and Arcocustoms Jeeps that convinced me to buy and build one. You two proved that there was alot of possibilities, that I had preconcived ideas that I couldn't make it scale lookin, but Im really happy with it, now i just need your backyard. :D

hey are those the pro line bumpers? wanting to start a new build and have a set of these and just trying to get an idea of the specs of the jeep body. I love it just don't know what the specs are can't find them anywhere

I must say, for not really liking the CR-01 with the jeep body... and the stock tires, you have done well for yourself. I like the stance you have and the flat irons on this truck. They are a great tire. I plan on getting another pair for my Yoda high-lift. Nice customization, full points. Now I may want to get the jeep CR-01 and have a new appreciation for 1.9 scale wheels and tires for this truck.
Good job.

Yes, those are Proline bumpers. Good luck with the build, make sure we get to see it. :)

I think you are the only one that likes this look or stance, with the 1.9's, Some look good with large shoes, some don't, but we are all different, and like different things, so, I'll just stop now :D

How did you mount those bumpers? I want to get some for my CR-01 but wasn't sure how well they would mount up.
They look totally rad on that jeep by the way!

Thank You T. I made some brackets out of left over servo brackets I had extra for, "on axle clod steering". I can get pics if you need them. They're not pretty, but they work.

I'm finally feeling a little better today, but I'm just not ready for my Burban build at the moment, so I have been switching tires around. I took the 1.9 Rok Lox off of the Crew cab,(I am going to try some Tomahawks on the CC instead, but 1st I have to order them :D)
Here's the Jeep with differnt shoes, see what you guys think.

those tires look soo good on there, like a real weekend warrior. Are they 2.2? Because they seem much bigger than the flat irons. I like those better.:)

and jeffro, id go with the rok lox instead of the tomahawks, the rok lox just seem more realistic.

I'm finally feeling well enough to go out into the 0 degree temp, and run the jeep for a couple of minutes before I had to give up, nothing broke, I was just frozen, I wasn't dressed real warm, Hey, I'm a guy, so what if I was just sick as heck. :tinfoil3:
I had just done a few repairs on the lighting (never again, and the same with interiors) and fixed a small problem it had with the rear axle not being aligned correctly, it was very noticable when I went to the taller tire.
Next time I decide to run it in the snow, I either need the tallest 2.2's or raise the tranny cage up a little higher or both, as you can see in the first 3 pics, I'm stuck..... :help:

Jeffro, I have a question, I know that you used clod steering brackets to mount the bumpers onto the chassis, but I cant find those anywhere. The brackets I mean, do you know where I could find them? Thanks in advance and also, did you mount the Tomahawks on your jeep yet?

Not a problem Andrew, I believe these are the ones I used. I had to do a little reworking, and they may break, so go easy when you rebend the arms.

No Tomahawks yet, I went and bought a couple things that I shouldn't have. They were my Christms present to myself since I was sick. When I get them, I will have to figure out a way for you guys to see them. They were both something that I wanted really really bad back in the 90's.
And I bought another CLOD BODY, :help:
