I had a old Chevy Avalanche body from a Radio Shack crawler ( I was actually really good Remote shift low range and could really crawl) But so yeah I chucked the chassis after it went into the Susquehanna river 5 years ago. I had the body laying around and I always wanted to completely do my own body I normally pay someone do do all of the hard stuff like body putty and paint. I know this did not turn out perfect and I know there are flaws. But it was my first Idea, cut, bond, sand and paint all on my own. and I did it in 6 days. I feel proud. lol.

So I got this idea from when I was in AZ and I went on a limo off-road tour. I was going to make it a full SUV but I thought of something cooler. What stretch limo is complete with out its own swimming pool? (I have the tank made I am waiting on the pumps to come in Monday or Tuesday. I have a servo switch that will turn it on and fill the pool via the faucet where the third break light used to be. I need to find break lens for the rear since I lost them long ago. I painted the bead lock rings to match and I have blue knock-offs on the way. I had my girlfriend pick the colors, I figured eh, why not? right? I kept it 4x4 so I would have some off road ability. Running a 55t with a 20tooth and my home made waterproof rx/esc boxes.

Here are some key photos, I will include a link to the album if you want to see more.

Again I still have some stuff to do:
Fill in chassis
Break lights
Water pumps
Brush bumper or something to protect the front
and some other stuff. So what do you all think?

I put this on a few forums that I belong to. Hope people like it

Sweeeet, Thats what I like, all the different possibilities. I think you will like the longer wheelbase. Can't wait to see it finished. :thumb:

Can't wait to see it finished. :thumb: I ran the chassis in 2wd mode for a bit and had a blast drifting it with the stock BF's on the old pajero rims. It handles incredibly well. Top speed with 24 oz of weight and a gps was 8.7 mph.

I like it what scale is the body ??

THe scale is 1/10th in like 2003/04 Dan Pattersons 4wheel magizine had a thing with radio snack to make this. I wish I could get 2 more. One to leave stock and one to snag body parts from.

Mine is a bit longer than yours greg. Mine is around 23 inches and I believe yours is sitting in at about 19/20. I was not going for a crew cab, just a limo. I don't copy. I just build what pops in my head. And besides this is not the first extended CC-01 I ever had done. Just the first limo. :)

Please watch your tone. This is obviously not a copy. If anyone is causing hate, it would be you by your post.

Thanks

Good looking build and body work, very unique rig, I always get a kick out of all those crazy things they stretch into limos.

I have a set of 4 logitech 1.2in carbon fiber full range micro speakers that I was going to pull from the housing and put in the back where the pool is, But I figured every one would do that. I have to be different.
And I don't rock iPods. iPod = evil. lol..... I rock my frenchy Archos

Just thought you would like to see a few more examples that are out there.

Good job stretching that body. From what I can see, your handiwork looks pretty good. Nice paint too. :thumb:

Yeah!!! I know :D That is sorta where I got the idea. As I mentioned befor I went on a limo off road tour in AZ back in 2002/2003 and It was a blast where they took these things. 44in super swamppers buried in muddy water and over the rocks on the other end. :willy_nilly: Oh yeah, Fun stuff. I liked the vid btw.

Fair enough. I was not aware of that and was trying to stay on top of things.

Guess I was a little over zealous

Just doing your job. Anyone else (not in the know) would have looked at it the same way, I know I did.
