Well here it is. I’ve built it completely stock so I know what ground zero is. I have a Novak 55-T, Rooster Crawler ESC, JunFac drive shafts & metal gear, high torque servo waiting to be installed. The stock setup seems great although I have nothing to compare it to. The standard hitech servo I’m using is defiantly a weak link. I stripped it out (see previous post about using hightec servos, i.e. I used the Futaba servo saver as the kit does not come with a hitech one). I’ve beat the body up pretty good playing in my rock garden. I had originally cleared this area of my yard intending to do a little landscaping and as you can see it is much better suited for scale crawling.767

Truck looks great! The Blue is sharp. Looking at the yard you got, it's easy to see why the standard servo snapped. That is some serious terrain!!!:thumb: Looks like a blast. Let us know how the servo upgrade goes for ya.

Nice rig I love my cr-01 I've done a lot of up grades for it, I know have a jeep body on it and just yesterday remounted it so that the rear wheel well's match up the light harnes to get here along with the scale accessories. Are you going to add lights and a new body for it

Thanks for all the comments. Color is Pacra metalic blue with pearl white top backed with white. The white backing really made the pearl top look nice. I installed the servo last night but it was raining all day & didn't get a chance to test it. it took a lot of tries with the shims to get the aluminum servo arm to not rub anything but it's ready for more abuse. I do plan to do a second body which will not see the rock garden. The rock garden is hard on bodies, mirrors & turn signals but it's fun. I'll have to post more photos. I have a lot of hiking trails on my property & rocky creek beds that should make for some good crawling. Thanks again, this is probably the only group of people that think my yard looks nice.

And yes, I do want to put lights on the second body. I would like to put some of the scale toys on the body as well. I'm glad I didn't on this one because I'm really trashing the body and I would have destroyed most of it by now.

Thanks. Does the light unit require a 3rd channel or is it just a manual switch? Are there any issues with using two bodies, one with lights & one without on the same chassie?

Hi DRW-FJ40

I use one on my Jeep, and no it does not require a 3rd channel, I guess u could fab a servo in there to operate the manual switch if u wanted to, but its just a flip switch. It just plugs inbetween the battery and esc with that male an female Tamiya connectors, does that help ?

I ran out of time on editing my previous post, As far as using two bodies, that should not be a problem as long as u mount the light controller to the underside of the body. :)

I understand completely, I went a little crazy this past winter, so funds for buying goodies, is running a little low. :D
