So I had yet another one of my brilliant ideas. I don't think that any one has ever done it before. :first: I plan to build a scale motorhome with the rear as a "toy carrier" that is large enough to haul my Axial trail rig and if I can swing it big enough to carry my competition crawler. I am working on a few drawings. This will be AWD/4wd not to be used as a crawler but capable enough to get a crawler or scale rig from the parking lot on the trail and to the event.
We (Anna and I) went and looked at about 20 motorhomes today and got lots of ideas. And the way it looks We are going to base it off of a 40WD winnebego and after some mathematical nerdery It will be 48in long by 10.1 wide and 14.8in tall. And with 22in of the rear taken up as the "toy carrier"
Things I need: A new three speed gear box (I think mine got thrown away while Anna and I cleaned house and If I do find it I already promised it to greg)
divorced transfer case Prefer one with a center diff for AWD
2 widened hi-lift axles
to make a chassis/frame
design a interior
2-3 more solar cells for the roof (e-bay)
to make Anna make the interior
Here is a link to the winne I am going to try and make. It may change. who knows.

Sure!! got any you are willing to donate? lol
I am building this on the tightest budget I can do. A lot of the big-rig stuff is pretty expensive. I have almost everything I need, It is the drive line that I need to sort. It has to be a 3 speed since the loaded weight will be about 25/30 pounds. ( motorhome, Trail rig + radio, two packs for power, three extra packs and all the interior details, glass mirrors and other random stuff)
I found a little digital lcd photo frame that I might make as a little TV to go inside. The battery in it is 3 volts so I will work with that.
Odd question, If I get RC 4wd axles that are Hi-lift replicas Can I still post this here?

Well about 35% of the interior was done today. Floors set up. passenger side furniture done. I have the audio systems ready to be put in. It consist of 2 1.8in JBL micro drivers. And 2 2.1 in AltecLensng Force-techs and about 20 watts peek power in the amp's.
Now I got the gear box sorted. :link: http://cgi.ebay.com/SEMI-TRANSMISSION-3-SPEED-CRAWLER-RIGS-TRUCKS-COMPLETE_W0QQitemZ290325443943QQcmdZViewItemQQptZR adio_Control_Parts_Accessories?hash=item4398beb567&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 :link:
I just got it in today I will build it in the AM of tomorrow. It has the 4x4 out put so I think I will stick with that.
I am going to run on some Axial axials for test and mesure while the tamiya F350s are being finished. I sen't them to a friend in FL and he is going to widen them and use some better metals to handel the stress of a 20-45 pound Rv. (depending on what crap it is hauling) But he is on vacation so I will not see them for about 3-4 weeks.
I will post some pics tomorrow.

There is a lot that still needs to be completed on this but for the most part it is going very smoothly. I am buying the 1/2 inch and 3/8ths C-channel aluminum today for the frame to be made. After that it will be the fun of lining up the tranny and 4 links.
