Heres a thread with some pics of the progress so faar with my 1.9 Wrangler JK. I am not even close to completion but in the end u see some shots where i am using it but will mod it alot later on :)

Using CR-01 shocks in droop atm but will look for some better shocks. Also going to change the 4link from threaded rod to stainless steel ones. Atm the car sits kinda high( 30-35mm between tire wnd wheelhouse) because of the shocks being so long.

Will add comments to the pics soon.

Chassi: TCS X-Trail
Motor: 27T Tamiya
Transmission: R2HD
Transfer case: T1 Disruptor
Wheels: Topcad Alu 1.9

I was looking to build a rig with wheels inside the fenders because most builds have them outside. Will most likely cut the fenders abit but redo them with tubing later on. Also adding scale thingys to it like winch and other things. Also going to do some tube work on it.

Adding plexi to the cab atm so it looks like it has windows. Havent deicided to go tinted or not.....

Anyways here´s a few more pics. And as i said before it has abit too much flex and i am using fully drooped shocks with internal springs. Gonna look for some good shocks and use springs like a real JK. Still a long way to go before i am done.....

Removed the drooped CR-01 shocks(70mm) and used Mini LST shocks instead(68mm). Works much better now and runs better in terrainaswell.

Really happy with it so faar. Using Tamiya 27 motor with 8t pinion so i dont have much wheelspeed atm but will put on a bigger pinion soon. Also the r2hd transmission + transfer case makes it go even slower. Might try with a brushless motor soon for more speed.

Here´s a few more pics of it.

Have put on some windows on it aswell. Just need to put 2 more in the front. They are dirty in the pic and not scratchy.

Spent many hours in the garage today working on the front bumper. First i cut of the original one.

http://www.monstergt.se/P1030822 (Medium).JPG

http://www.monstergt.se/P1030824 (Medium).JPG

Then i started working on the bumper... I first wanted to make a new one from scratch but deicided i like the stock one so worked on that. Used aluminium mostly and some styrene.. Need to order a new winch since i broke the fairlead on the one i had... Will add comments to the pics later on and the pics are taken with mobile so not the best quality.

Some pics may seem that the bumper and things are crocked but they are not...

Heres another vid of it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCoTziRZ0Hs)

And more pics....

Been in the garage awhile today again working on shackle mounts. Made front and rear ones. The front ones are functional meaning i can pull another car with them without breaking anything while the rear ones are just for show atm ( only fastened through the plastic while front is aluminium). Will make the rear ones fully funtional aswell later on.

The shackles i use are slightly to big for 1/10 but doesnt look toobad anyways. Took alot of thinking before i came up how to make the mounts but looks ok. Might buy smaller shackles later on....

Built myself a car trailer for the Wrangler. Its built to fit the Tamiya Beetle but can fit my CR-01 aswell. The trailer is abit too small for the CR-01 but doesnt look tobaad anyways.. Posting pics of it in an hour or so just need to find my camera.

Its not complete yet but u get the idea :)

Its built of 6mm steel tube and has 4 wheels and tilt function so i can drive the other car up on the trailer with ease. Going to continue with it tomorrow and add locking function for the tilt and handbrake and also a third wheel up front on it. Also going to add working lights on it soon meaning brake and reverse lights. Other things to do on it is to put alu or wood in the bed itself and also adding fenders.

Pics to come in one hour or so..

Thx alot.

Changed all the plastic axles to stainless steel ones. Also put decals on the winch and made atrailer connector for the lights. This version of the connector is abit big ( 8mm in diameter ) so i will make a smaller one soon ( 4-5mm). Also putting a lid ( started making it but not done yet ) on the trailer connector so mud doesnt get in there :)

My first idea was to paint the frame black and then the "box" red or something like that but deicided to go another way. Have some thin balsawood at home that i used and had some oil for outside furniture. I was wanting a bit darker colour so not 100% happy but doesnt look too bad.

I first thought about putting balsa on the lids aswell but that would have been too much wood so i just put some on the small lid and made a dark frame around the bigger one.

Still alot of work left on it but here´s a few pics of the progress so faar.
