Now your talkin, I like this build, I've been eyeing their chassis's for awhile. My TLT axles just arrived yesterday, just not sure where they belong at the moment, but maybe.... :)

Thanks everyone... Been wanting to do this one for awhile. I needed a rock worthy 1.9 rig

LOL, I thought about that or a TOW missle.
One person here recommended a nerf missle setup:common001:
I have some ideas, but focusing on the chassis layout and the body mounting first. I want to do a interior on it but at the same time I want to move my onboard camera from my CR-01 to the inside of this one. It would give me a cool out the window over the hood shot. I'd need to do some test shots first to make sure it focuses well.

Its lookin good Joe. I really like the look of the Rock creepers on there, and those wheels, I gotta get them. ( really nice combo) It looks like you also put MSD's inboard shock mount on the rear. Yes, I have just about wore out their site stairing and drooling over some of their stuff :D
I liked the stock camo paint, but, I was hoping you might change it up. :)

Yeah the body was from a RTR Humvee I had at my desk for years. I planned on a my own paint, that's why I primmer'd it to give me a clean slate to start thinking.

Good looking truck so far Joe, liking the CR01 tranny choice, I've found they work much smoother and are more durable than any of the other trannies I've used like Pede, R2, Axial etc.

Thanks, and they are nice and compact. No spur/pinion hanging in the wind for a rock to get stuck in. :mod:

Or I would, I'm leaning to Desert Camo right now.
I always use Powerpole, been using them since they were called lightspeed :first:

LOL< you know I thought about that as well. someone at work mentioned it to. I will have to look into it more once I get my mods done on the body.
I have some more pics to load up tomorrow, started adding light buckets in the front grille. They turned out pretty nice.

Moving on I cut out the rear lights
http://www.tamiyacrawlers.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=139&pictureid=1069
Using a the same buckets from the front, I heated them up a bit and pinched one end to make the slight teardrop shape of the Humvee rear lights. Mounted the bucket in the same fashion as the front.

I'm pretty sure I can do the "gas money" I just don't have the time off, I used most of that back in June. It would be cool if we could all get together somewhere, that might be interesting.
( I never was any good on the court with a ball) :D
