avatars & sigs

i dont get it, the avatar configuration screen doesnt seem to work ... its there accessible but it wont allow me to do anything with it. also i noticed the sig config screen is now visible but there are soo much bb codes disabled like image tags cant be used, nor are urls allowed ... and text formatting is off. i'd like to be able to post a nice cute pink sig image! <jk> :D

thanks, i've read that before posting my inquiry. it doesnt answer my question regarding both avatar and sigs coz clearly i have more than 15 already and avatars still arent accessible.

i must be doing something wrong here ... i'll go take a look again.

i dont understand why we would be allow to use BBCodes but not allowed to use any of the BBCode functions? i'd understand not allowing hot linked images and php/html due to security reasons. but text colors, formatting, etc., are these reserved for paid subsciptions?

maybe admin needs to double check the settings, avatars maybe accessible only to moderators coz i dont have options to upload, link any graphic.

Did you go into your User CP and click on Edit Options? About 3/4 of the way down you should see this:

Visible Post ElementsYou have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts.

Show Signatures
Show Avatars
Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code)

Are these checked?

even the sig features are working, unfortunately my available sig was too big ... could we have the allowable dimensions please. thanks again!

As it says in the control panel, sig's can not be bigger then 500 x 100 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller)

I think you need at least 15 posts before you can use them.

i just rechecked coz it automatically shrunk my 500x100 sig. the proper size is 480x60 pxiels or less than 18kb(?) well something like that.
