I went to the National Rifle Association Museum the other day and got to see the 1873 Winchester Carbine used on the show bonanza, between the years 1959-1973. This is the actual gun that Lorne Green used and the gun Micheal Landon as well as several other cast members used. Of the 2,000+ guns that are on display, to me, this was the coolest. Quite spectacular being in the presence of it. I can't believe it's only 10 minutes from my house!

I'll upload a better picture tomorrow

Sure was! There were over 2,000 guns on display. It was just aisles and aisles of display cases full of every firearm you can imagine! From ancient Chinese gunpowder, to modern advanced weapons. It's too bad I didn't take any other pics. This was part of a display called "Guns West!". There were many vintage firearms from television shows and movies on display. The Winchester will only be there until the end of 2009 though.
