Wish they announced it 2 days ago, would'nt of bought my truck n trailer kit and would of bought another CR 01 pre built :)

$600 us is less than what my CR 01 has cost me so far. :D

Yes, I have seen them before. Once. The local distributer was reclaiming it because the LHS was not able to sell it. For true Tamiya fans, building a kit is somehow magical and an RTR, no matter how pretty, will never sell very well IMO. That being said it was a nicely finished vehicle with tinted windows I do beleive.

I oh love to build them too, But these look a little better than your average pre-built. And $600 us for the lot is a great deal. Just the Chassis and motor (basic box) is $600AU on the shelves here, thats about $520US

If theres one thing i havent learnt in life its to slow down ... Ive ordered them only to THEN see the fine print at the top of the page mentioning to read terms and conditions on international postage... sigh , Im so used to these online shops just calculatiung it right first time that I just didnt think..

Anyway fired him off an email explaining Im sorry about being a little too keen and if he'll write me up a new invoice/cancel the echeque... Guess I'll wait another 4 or 5 hours :)

This is not new news, we have had this RTR line for over a year now. The newest part of this line is the Unimog's for $499.99 (Price effective today)

Now the proud owner of a 2nd CR 01 kit and buggy champ and only 13 days to get here.. that aint too bad :D Hoping to place an order for a 2nd buggy champ! So i can build one and keep one for... rainy day or something... who knows :) All I know is they arent that cheap down here!

TubbyT, he is talking about the RTR F350, which comes all built complete with radio, MFU unit installed, professional paint job and radio.

All you need is batteries for the radio and a 7.2 for the truck and your ready to go.
