There are lots of really neat crawling locations near Laramie, Wyoming. I thought I would post one that seems to stand out quite a bit. The location would be a prime location for a gathering or crawling event since it is easy to get to (in the summer anyway). It is located on the forest, so holding an official event would require a permit. In any case it's a great spot just to drive the rc crawlers or scale trucks.
It's located east of town off I-80.
Exact Location: 41°16'14.47"N 105°23'35.35"W
Just paste the location in google earth or google maps.
Here are a few pics of the spot:

There are a lot of good piles all over up there. I think we need to go look for spots in the snowy range to drive the crawlers and scale trucks.

Yeah there is a lot of neat scenery around here. This location I decided to post since it is easy to get to. :)
There are almost endless numbers of rock piles and good crawling locations in this area, but some can take time and effort to get to.

Wow, beautiful, but are there mountain lions, etc...?
Sadly, the best place near me that I've found is down by the river, crawling over broken glass, old furniture and yard scraps. Not exactly a family outing.

Oh man! There are a few places like that around here on the edge of town. A place where there seems to be more litter than anything else...
Of course the garbage dump here is really bad... they don't really know how to keep garbage in the ground. They just kinda plow it in with the dirt and all the plastic bags and stuff come blowing out and over the fence.
The fence is always covered in plastic bags and the land down wind is also covered in plastic bags for miles... I wish they would learn. lol

Yeah I've only seen one Mountain Lion a few years back but there are lots around, I was cutting a walking stick and thought it was strangely quiet as birds had stopped so i looked up and a Huge Tom was watching me, I gripped my knife real tight and we looked at each other for awhile then he silently padded off across the rocks...it was really an amazing and beautiful creature. They very rarely if ever attack people. you are at greatest risk from other drivers on highway getting up to mountains lol! But that said i still usually have a large knife or a pistol when I'm out in the wilds just in case.

Wyoming and Moondoggie- You guys have some of the best crawling environment and scenery in the U.S. You might say otherwise, but that is what happens when you live somewhere. Like WHEELMAN mentioned, there are very few places around me that are any good for crawling.
