But I got in a Bronco shell and painted it up Baja Bronco style.

even though there is a silver decal for the bumper area, I figured some paint on the under the lexan would hid if the sticker ever got scratched off. Pactra Indy Silver

Turned out very nice, nice color combo, I miss the multi-colored 2 and 3 tone paint jobs cars used to have :thumb:

Looking good. Did you work up the courage to risk running it yet?

Thanks guys. I have run it 3-4 times with this body, but I haven't been aggressive and rolled it. :D I still run the FJ most of the time, especially in our comp point series since I know its going to scrape some rocks!
Should have the Wild Willy tire shroud in a few days, then it will have the proper spare on the tailgate. I think I'm going to paint up the stock wheels white as Antipop has done on his Bronco.

White wheels sound good. I keep looking at the 73 Bronco and I'm having a hard time seeing the mold lines across hood and roof some people are talking about.

The mold lines are not really that bad. Once its painted up your eyes are taken away from that and focus more on the paint.
Here's some more
Wild Willy spare painted.

Also took the Bronco out for a spin. I've painted up the stock wheels and put the stock Vise Crawlers on those wheels. There's no weight in them. I figure I can use the Proline wheels/Cliff Crawlers for our comps, but use these any other time. The rig feels so light with these wheels on after having 18oz total up front and 12oz total in the rear in the Prolines. This could be easier on the drivetrain for just goofing around/trail runs. Its pretty light/tippy though, just like when new so I have to be a little more careful. Also, 5 screws per side on the beadlocks is a little weak, I saw some wheel spin inside the tires a few times when i used it today.

Oops, continued from the other post... Too many pictures.
When I got home the mounting blocks I used on the spare were dry and it was ready to go on the body.

Those are some Lucite blocks siliconed to the back of the spare and hook and loop used to attach it to the body so I can peel the spare off if I want.

Got the other set of Tamiya Star beadlock rings in today so the rig doesn't look half assed.

I got mine really cheap, the last pair at Tower was $11 and then I found another pair on eBay for $28 so I got the whole set for less than the price for one pair.
