CC-01 Land Cruiser 40

Hi,

Here are some shots of my LC 40. I was inspired by Wyomings awsome LC40 so I decided to turn my touareg into one.

aside from a ballraced steeng mod (which I learned to do from here and other sites of course :D) I decided to remove the left steering arm in order to remove any more slop. It works a lot better than before.

That is a great looking rig, probably more capable than mine with those shocks and tires. Those look like the old 1/8 Tamiya Nitro mini cooper wheels on it, nice!

Thanks very much wyoming, and yes! these are 1/8 scale cooper tires, the losi tires are a snug fit, i didnt use any glue anymore to attach them. The shocks are 21 year old stock bigwig shocks. They did help improve the performance quite a bit. But, I must hand it to you, Tamiya must have released their CC-01 LC40 after being inspired by your Land Cruiser!

Thanks very much too northwest, Your Pajero is one of the most unique CC/XC builds ive ever seen, cant wait to see it done!

I'd like to think they did but I wasn't the only one building them, i just pimped mine all over the place. Tamiya may have planned from the begining to use the FJ body on the CC-01...I just wish they would break down and make the CC-02 with needed improvements and maybe front and rear live axles but keep the price down where CC-01 is right now...sorry to rant but its about time for the CC-02 if you're listening Tamiya :cool:

I have to agree with you on the CC-02, the 01 is already one fun chassis and if they do come up with an 02 i'm sure they will also become as popular and in demand if not even more! I 'd still like to see IFS (a bit longer maybe) on an 02 though, I think it gives the chassis its character. imo.:D

ya I got it painted emerald green on the top now that I filled the hole's and sanded them the bottom half has flat black it match's my cr-01. you can check out the shot's that where taken with flowmaster and me. it is under cr-01 axled form "took the cr-01 out" and it is by flowmaster

I checked out your pajero and it realy looks good with emerald green! :D Looks like you guys also had a great time too.

ya each week I'm adding new elemt's to the crawler course this week is a ladder brigde that is about 6 feet long and is only the size of the tire's ti will go up hill connexting to a root system than I going to add a tunnel and lots' more

I just bought some LED's, used a battery tray from a cheap LED flashlight, an old switch from a receiver battery tray, soldered everything up, and that was it.

Thanks, I do like it too but i dont use it anymore. I plan to make it into a DF02 touareg truggy. :)

I think there are some touareg bodies on ebay though.
