its a traxxas driveshaft... its all there but there is an inner part thats not glued in yet... it slipped into the front half of the driveshaft so the back dropped off. I need to pull it back out and glue it.

Default 1 bumper down! (well up)

Got one bumper fabbed. Its mounted straight to the frame (chassis tub) with some eye bolts (tow points) passing through the bumper and some old erector set pieces.

Its angle iron that I took a grinder to, sliced it up, bent it, and welded it back up, then ground it down again. If I ever dent this bumper I will have FAR bigger problems than a dented bumper. Like probably the car would be in a million pieces.

    It will eventually get painted.

    Is it hanging??

    Why yes it is

That is one fine super-strong looking bumper you have crafted there.

Still working on the rig.... the 16T pinion is on its way from hong kong, the orange is pretty much laid down on the body as good as its gonna get. May have to put a bullet hole sticker or something over a defect or 2.

The bumpers are gun metal now,

Photos to come once I put it all back together.

Still not sure if I am gonna build a roof rack out of the metal rod I have... (weight issues up top)

I may pay someone to build one from tube instead

    Talking

Ok roof rack is ordered.... The rest of the body is pretty much setup other than the lighting system. That may wait for a while, I dont mind the lenses and junk on the corners being missing.

I cant help but to hang it by its beefy bumpers

On the note of body mods....

Removed both bumpers, shaved off rain gutters on top of roof, removed turn signals on fenders, filled antenna hole, shaved moldings on sides, its just one rib, not multiple ribs. The side lights and stuff were already cut out earlier.

Its a testors "boyds" series. I forget the name. Its hard to make it spray consistent. But the color is still neat.
