Mountaineer worth??
So I know mountaineers are worth something.....
but not 4 figures right???
I have seen this ad on my local craigslist for MONTHS at $1250 with no price reduction... just keeps reposting.
Personally I think they are crazy asking that much... they dont even have the box.

I think I would pay like $500 tops for this one (I dont plan to buy it, just want others input out of curiosity)
Tamiya CR-01 Brat, Tamiya XC-01 Brat, Tamiya TA-01 Brat,
Tamiya XC-01 Pajaro (with a touch of Xterra)

In my eyes, it's only worth that much if it were mint and in a box. In it's present state I wouldn't pay more than $800.
I love Craigslist. There's a guy in Philadelphia that's selling a Bruiser for $100. I have no idea of its condition though. If I didn't work weekends, I would probably have bought it.
If it isn't broken, there's something wrong with it.

I sold mine for $1500.00 1 1/2 years ago, It was new put together, never run, never painted( i sold all the box color paint to paint all parts for it). I had the box, manual, extra RCScreaws kit. I bought it in 1994 for $350.00. I tried to find the pictures but I allready deleted them sorry. I wanted to buy my son a four wheeler, And that was the only way I could get the money. Mybe a bad choice not shure yet?

Mountaineer will go for $300-700 at Ebay depending on the condition, timing, and selling skills of the Ebayer. A NIB complete body set would go for $330-400.
Unfortunately, the kit he is offering is not an NIB with parts still sealed in the original blister pack. He probably priced each part as if they were to be sold separately, then added up to get to the magic $1250, a number maybe attractive to a Vintage Fanatic. Not really that expensive though, as a really nice custom Scale Crawler can go for even more.
I think $600-800 would be a good bargain.
